The Escape Room Library will take you on a secret adventure in an old library in Washington DC to find a missing copy of an original book entitled Circus Monkeys.  Legend has it that even if someone finds the hiding spot, the key to unlocking it remains a mystery. Are you up for the challenge? Will you crack the code or get stuck in the library?

Read the story and solve each puzzle to get the next clue. There are 5 parts to the story, 4 puzzles to solve, and a bonus puzzle. Plus, there are tips and hints for making it harder or easier, and completion signs. Just add students and pencils.

Skills: problem solving, critical thinking, and reading comprehension.

Grades: 6-12

Prep: print and play

Use: classroom, sub plans, home, travel, homeschool

This printable Escape Room Library is a great activity after reading either version of How to Read Literature Like a Professor by Thomas Foster, especially How to Read Literature Like a Professor: For Kids as it contains words and ideas from this book, but reading the book is not necessary to play this escape room.

Fare thee well!
